Hello world!

I would like to start by simply saying “i’m sorry” i’m sorry I haven’t posted in well over a month. As most of you know, our lives have been (and still are) crazy busy.  We now live in a new town. I have a different job title. We work with a different congregation. We live in a new house. My son just turned 1 yesterday. as you can tell, we have had a lot of changes recently. But, I would like to say thank you. Thank you to all who have been keeping us in your prayers. We are almost settled in… almost. It won’t be long until we are settled into a new routine.

Just a quick thought for the day…

I have often been asked, why did the first century church grow so rapidly? While I believe there to be many reasons why. (years of prophecy with people waiting for the savior being a major one.) I believe there is another reason why they grew so rapidly. As we examine the book of Acts we see things like love, sacrifice, and commitment. we even read in the first few chapters examples of people selling their possessions so that they could give the money they made to someone who really needed it. WOW! wouldn’t you want to be part of a family who treats each other like this?

I have to say, that so far, I have been blown away by my new church family. They are kind, loving, welcoming, hard working, and have bent over backwards to make sure that my families move here is a smooth as possible. I am blessed to be part of a family much like we read about in the book of Acts. Here is my simple question/challenge for you today. What will you do today that will make someone want to be part of the Lord’s Church?
